EMAC® Group participates in a conference organised by IVEFA

01 junio 2018

On Thursday, 31 May, Emi Boix, EMAC® Group's CEO, took part in a prestigious conference called “Strategy and involvement of new generations as a key to the future in family firms”, organised by the Instituto Valenciano para el estudio de la Empresa Familiar (IVEFA, Valencian Institute for the Study of Family Firms). She shared discussion with José Bernardo Noblejas (IVEFA president), Juan Jose Barceló (Ifedes Group), Josep Balaguer (Camu) and Salvador Bendito (Inplasva).

This event – attracting distinguished authorities such as Ms Blanca Marin (Valencian Government Secretary for Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors and Trade), Ms Sonia Díaz Español (General Sub-Director for Taxation, Valencian Government) and Ms Cristina Civera (Mayor of Museros) among others – became the ideal forum for debating one of the greatest challenges that family businesses face: succession, how to involve the new generations and the fiscal connotations of this. “A challenge that forces one to take risks and face decisions”, according to the Valencian Institute.

The photo shows Emi Boix who, along with her two sisters, has managed to consolidate the first generational changing of the guard in their multinational firm. This guarantees the continuation of the business, ensuring that the legacy of a structured, professionalised company will be handed down to successive generations while transmitting the firm’s values.
